The BMW ALPINA D4 S Gran Coupé
The BMW ALPINA D4 S is ALPINA’s latest offering created for sportive daily drivers who are looking for a special Gran Turismo driving experience. In this high-performance diesel variant with a 3.0-litre straight-six cylinder engine and BMW mild hybrid technology, the Gran Coupé offers powerful performance and torque, sleek aesthetics and exclusive ALPINA driving comfort.
The BMW ALPINA D4 S is characterised by an expressive, elegant design with an elongated silhouette and flowing roofline.
The ALPINA front spoiler accentuates the athletic front, while at the rear an unobtrusive spoiler takes up the elegant coupé lines.
The progressive wheel design picks up on the distinctive shape of the body. Twenty delicate spokes run from the centre of the wheel to the outer rim.
Superior power delivery – exemplary efficiency
The BMW ALPINA D4 S combines the best of two worlds: a drivetrain that offers excellent throttle response at low rpm’s yet which is sporty and high-revving, unlike most typical modern diesels. BMW mild hybrid technology with a 48-volt starter generator improves throttle response and efficiency, effortlessly offering long driving ranges in combination with a high performance output.
The straight-six 3.0 litre engine with Bi-Turbo charging offers a maximum output of 261 kW (355 hp). The maximum torque of 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) is available between 1750 and 2750 rpm for immediate power delivery in every driving situation. High power reserves combined with the ZF 8HP76 8-Speed Sport Automatic Transmission means acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 4.8 seconds. The maximum speed is 270 km/h (168 mph).
Travel comfort and driving dynamics
As a true Gran Turismo, the BMW ALPINA D4 S Gran Coupé combines emotional driving dynamics with comfortable touring. The ALPINA Sport Suspension masters challenging road conditions with ease and excels in dynamic driving manoeuvres, remaining composed at high speeds with a strong sense of safety.
Elegant details like the ALPINA production plaque with individual build number add a touch of exclusivity to the interior.
The standard equipment is class leading and includes comfort features such as seat and steering wheel heating but also the latest BMW assistance systems like the Parking and Driving Assistant.
A wide range of BMW and BMW Individual paint finishes are available. The ALPINA Blue and ALPINA Green metallic paint finishes synonymous with the brand are exclusively reserved for the BMW ALPINA automobiles.

Stated fuel consumption and CO2 emissions are measured pursuant to EU Regulation 715/2007 in its applicable version. From 1st of September 2018 the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) has replaced the New European Driving Cycle (NEDC).
From January 2021 onwards, European Union member states are required to ensure that new passenger cars offered for sale, for lease or exhibited in showrooms or similar, are clearly labelled with consumption and emission data according to the new WLTP test cycle. Work is currently underway on the amendment of the German regulatory framework which governs the implementation of this European Union obligation in German law, its final completion however is still outstanding. For a number of new vehicles, NEDC consumption and emission values are no longer available, it is therefore reasonable that the more realistic WLTP consumption and emission values are provided to customers instead.
The official manufacturer consumption and emission values have already been determined on the basis of the new WLTP test cycle and, for some models, calculated back to NEDC test cycle for information purposes. The WLTP values are used for the assessment of taxes.

All technical data apply to the German market, additional international units of measure shown in the technical data for the purposes of information only. Further information on specific fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of new passenger cars is provided by the ‚Leitfaden über den Kraftstoffverbrauch, die CO2-Emissionen und den Stromverbrauch neuer Personenkraftwagen‘ which can be obtained free of charge at all points of sale and from the Deutsche Automobil Treuhand GmbH (DAT) or online https://www.dat.de/co2/.
